Position Summary:

As the Retail Manager at Velvet Vanity, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our physical retail store. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage in-store activities. You will manage staff, optimize store performance, maintain inventory, and implement strategies to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retail Operations Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail store, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
    • Develop, implement and update operational policies and procedures to enhance in-store performance and ensure operational consistency and efficiency.
    • Ensure the store is well-maintained, including cleanliness, product displays, and overall aesthetics, providing a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and efficient restocking.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to address supply chain challenges and optimize inventory processes.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and adjust stock levels based on sales trends and customer demand.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Recruit, train, and manage retail staff, fostering a positive and motivating work environment.
    • Provide training on customer service, product knowledge, company values and operational procedures for both in-store and online staff.
  • Customer Experience
    • Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience by maintaining high standards of customer service.
    • Ensure customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints are addressed promptly and professionally.
    • Implement initiatives to enhance customer loyalty and retention, such as in-store promotions, or personalized customer outreach.
  • Sales and Marketing Coordination
    • Work with the marketing team to plan and execute in-store promotions, events, and campaigns that drive traffic and sales.
    • Analyze sales data and customer insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Implement strategies to enhance in-store foot traffic through targeted marketing efforts.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and present regular reports on retail performance, including sales metrics, inventory status, and customer feedback.
    • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommendations for operational improvements and strategic initiatives.
