5 Lash Care Tips

Your eyelashes are like the window to your beautiful eyes and if you’re not a fan of eyelash extensions or planning to ditch them, you should definitely try out these tips to care for your natural lashes.

Apply Castor Oil On Your Lashes
Castor Oil has been a practice by many for so many years, it usually comes in the form of a mascara-like style where you’ll apply the oil through your lashes with a wand. Castor Oil is rich in triglycerides and also omega-6 fatty acids, which may help to moisture and improve the health of your eyelashes. However, be careful when applying it because too much Castor Oil on your lashes may cause your lashes to flake and in some cases, avoid getting it into your eyeballs because it can sting a little bit. In other words, apply castor oil with care.

Don’t Rub Your Eyes Excessively
Itchy or dry eyes? We understand the temptation to rub your eyes but if you’re doing it too excessively or harshly, your eyelashes might break and fall off or worse, you are risking your eyes from getting scratched. In other cases, the tiny blood vessels in your eyeballs might break, causing bloodshot eyes, dark circles and wrinkles around your eyes. After all, you shouldn’t have anything too close to your eyes anyway.

Consume Green Tea & Vitamin E
Are you a Green Tea lover? Great news! Green Tea is rich in epigallocatechin-3-gallate or EGCG, which helps to promote hair growth. It’s also rich in antioxidants that fight against signs of ageing. Vitamin E supplements are also an antioxidant jackpot but do consult your doctor before incorporating Vitamin E supplements into your diet.

Remove Your Makeup Gently
Another tip that’s super important is to always remove your makeup gently. The easiest way to press your cotton pad that’s soaked with micellar water on your closed eyelid for 20-30 seconds before sliding it downwards. Oil-based makeup remover or cleansing balm also packs quite a punch to remove stubborn mascaras.

Avoid ‘Super-Strength’ Waterproof Mascaras
Waterproof mascaras are getting all of the hype because you really don’t want the panda eyes after short hours of wearing your mascaras outdoors but some waterproof mascaras are just too powerful that it dries and breaks your lashes especially when you attempt to wipe it off. Invest in waterproof mascaras that do its job without destroying your precious lashes, like our Long Lift Lashes Mascara!
